You don't really even need the soundcard to play audio cd's.
What software you have in the included Sound Blaster sofware package will be
diferent for each model. I have 2 different SB 16 cards, and the install
software from one, won't work with the other. Although, individual
"utilities" might work okay, such as the audio cd player, or a midi player.
