Oops - me thinks that you can do Telnet this way only with a *direct* telcephone link/dial-in to a telnet offering server - > ... you may not even need TCP/IP on DOS, just use a > standard comms program like commo, bananacom, telix, procomm, etc. - which would not be the case with most IAP/ISP (and their local dial-in oints) operating to-day.
