Also keep in mind that you can't share IRQs with older stuff. COM1: & COM3:
share IRQ 4, COM2: & COM4: share IRQ 3. You will not be able to use two
ports using the same IRQ at one time. So you need to disable an onboard port
(I understood there are some) -- hopefully through the BIOS. There may be an
"auto" setting or simply disable.
There are some add-on cards that let you set non-standard port settings, but
I don't think that'll do you any good at this point.
