sorry, I really can't remember if AOL did or did not completely remove
itself from my 286 system circa '95/'96.

if I used the free AOL cd {I guess version 5.0?} would I be able to

does installing AOL do any permanent damage to PC's?
or after uninstalling does AOL leave any residue?
