Hi,

As someone who is involved with a computer reuse program (fix donated
computers for nonprofits, schools, good stuff) I enjoy the posts to PC-ASK.
I thought I'd tell you folks about a resource for computer reuse programs,
as some of you may be involved with such a program in your community.

I'm helping the Reuse Collaborative, http://www.reusers.org, develop a
database of reuse efforts nationally. Organizations that do reuse and need
donations or volunteers are invited to register at the database - the first
link at the above site. Briefly, the database allows reuse efforts to
concisely describe their operation so a donor or potential volunteer can
find you and help out.

We're planning on doing some PR around the database and hoping we can be a
service to the general community by helping connect people to resources.

Don't hesitate to email with any Qs or feedback. Happy computing and
recycling, John
