After browsing thru Intel, to Unicore, To Award. It listed boards by
ID number. This one's a Triton 430 FX Flash Only. No matter what I
do in the BIOS, Win 95 still insists on activating a PS/2 mouse driver
saying its the only compatible device for the board. Changed dongles,
enabled/disabled COMS in BIOS, fiddled with 'em in Win, tried to
insist we use a Standard Serial Mouse only to have Win tell me
it wasn't gonna happen. IRQ conflicts cause mouse pointers to
disappear or never appear, and this one remains planted mid-screen.

Fuuny part was when assigning a 14.4 modem to COM 1, Win froze
on startup logo. Wasn't til I reassigned to COM 2 it allowed startup
to continue. Other threads from the Net say I'm not the only one
with this prob. Others have altered unused IRQ's with partial successes
but like Pippi, am still considering strapping said nightmare to a car's
bumper and running into things all over town, then sending remnant to
Intel as a warning against further shoddy design.
