I still use QuickLink II for Dos written by the infamous SmithMicro
software company. It was included with a lot of modems maybe 6 years
ago or longer. It comes with a standalone, convert.com program that converts
text and other formats to a fax document before printing. Still seems to
work fine.

I heard they made this freeware but I have not checked where to get it.
One could go to the SmithMicro website (www.smithmicro.com) and see if
it can be downloaded there.
