Here is a site that have a GUI gallery. That is, screen-shots that
show many GUIs in action, plus a report about "how it felt".

The screen-shots were either made by installing and running the GUI,
or by running it via an emulator (and a good one) if it wasnt for the
PC.

It includes: MS-Windows 1 to MS-Windows 98, and both current NT,
MacOS pictures from the begining to version 7, even screen-shots of
GUIs from 1986 that was made from the Apple II. (it is said that the
GUI for the Apple II made in 1986 was MUCH better then the GUI that
Windows 1 had, and that MS only "came close" to it in Windows 95.
The author tried to be objectional, and actually USED all these GUIs
before talking.)

There are more GUIs and platforms there then what I mentioned, and
external links to other people who did similiar things to GUIs and
platforms that he didnt check personally.
