Here is a site that have a GUI gallery. That is, screen-shots that show many GUIs in action, plus a report about "how it felt". The screen-shots were either made by installing and running the GUI, or by running it via an emulator (and a good one) if it wasnt for the PC. http://pla-netx.com/linebackn/guis/index.html It includes: MS-Windows 1 to MS-Windows 98, and both current NT, MacOS pictures from the begining to version 7, even screen-shots of GUIs from 1986 that was made from the Apple II. (it is said that the GUI for the Apple II made in 1986 was MUCH better then the GUI that Windows 1 had, and that MS only "came close" to it in Windows 95. The author tried to be objectional, and actually USED all these GUIs before talking.) There are more GUIs and platforms there then what I mentioned, and external links to other people who did similiar things to GUIs and platforms that he didnt check personally.
