Hi, Guys,
Anybody want a copy of Pretty Park to play with? I got a copy of it in an
e-mail last week; saved it to disk with Net-Tamer, decoded the MIME
Base64-encoded file I saved, and got prettypa.exe to look at. Of course, it
needs an environment consisting of some kind of MicroSoft or Eudora-type
e-mail program running under Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT, and
maybe Windows 2000 in order for it to install and do its thing. Not only
are DOS machines immune from it, but OS/2, Unix, Linux, and Windows 3.XX
machines should also be immune to it. It needs certain 32-bit Windows 9X/NT
files and MS E-mail type addressbooks in order to do its things. I decided
to add it to my little bestiary where also lives happy99.exe and a few other
little nasties. Happy99 whined and moaned about not being able to find
certain files on my DOS and Windows 3.11 WorkGroups-equipped system.
Chalk one up for the survivors. The virus writers think DOS is dead, you
know!
