Hi, Guys,
Wang Labratories actually did have a line of PC's including XT and 80286
desktops and laptops before they went belly up in the late '80's or early
'90's. They may even have had an 80386-based machine at the very end. I
believe the laptops at least, may have been made by the same Taiwan-based
outfit that made such machines as those sold under CompUSA's CompuDyne brand
name, and the TwinHead brand. Good luck finding anything. The hunt could
be interesting anyway, and if you do track down the manufacturer, you might
even make their day and get a good laugh out of them if you actually get a
chance to ask about the beast. Were it an old Compaq and you called tech
support late at night local time, you'd actually probably scare up somebody
who could look it up and actually tell you something, including part
numbers, and a possible procurement source. No kidding! Were it an
IBM-made product, they'd probably give you some snide comment like, "We're
not going to support a product that hasn't been made in over ten years."
