Hi, Will.
I noticed you saying to All:
WB> card. Hi. There was a thread some time back, about a program to route
WB> .wav's to the pc speaker. I would like to find the reverse, a software
WB> to route pc speaker sounds to the sound card. The reason is, I have
WB> some old DOS games that used to send sounds to the pc speaker. This
WB> computer, however, doesn't have a pc speaker, it has a Sound Blaster
WB> 16 PNP sound card. Has anyone heard of something to do this?
I dunno from the newer Soundblaster cards. My old Soundblaster Pro on
my BBS machine, and the Soundblaster 16 at my old job, ISA not PNP, both
have two pins specifically for the purpose of wiring a jumper from the
mobo connection for the speaker to the soundcard.
They may or may not provide such a thing on the newer cards, though.
And I've never found the appropriate jumper to accomplish this, or
hand-wired anything to to try it. A wirewrap tool looks like it might
work, but I've never used one and could be wrong there.
