I attempted to reply to this once and it was somehow oddly
clipped, so I will try again.
Not sure a FAQ is necessary. I could be wrong, and I'm sure
someone will correct me if I am, but I thought a "denial of
service" is what happens when the server is so busy doing
something else that it "denies service" to any further incoming
requests for service. That is, in the case of ILOVEYOU and email
servers, they (the servers) are so busy handling all the mail
generated by the virus (it sends a copy of itself to everyone in
the users address book) that they can't handle anything else. Or
more properly and precisely in this case, they can't handle
legitimate mail.
