I can't begin explaining how grateful I am to you (and to the authors of
Internet Extender). Here I have been trying for months to get Linux to do
IP masq for me, and after (rather recently) getting it to accept my NIC as
a NE2000 clone I ran into problems when it came to using the modem (UART
isn't initialized). After working for approximately 1 hour. And that's
including switching NICs since I had forgotten which card it was I had in
and assumed the 3Com was broken (knowing perfectly well it was a NE2000
card all along), formatting the HD (to get rid of Linux) and setting
everything up at the clients.
Anyway, not that everything is good news - and some people might object to
this since it's not about DOS - but how do I get Windows 3.x to be able to
use the gateway? Getting Arachne up and running took very little time (took
more time moving myself to the computers <g>). Getting Linux (on my
machine) able to use it would also be good (so I can use ssh to arachne.cz).
Bob will you marry me? <VBG>
