for those who recall my modem fun last winter, I never did get talkworks
pro to display caller ID information, although I did get the modem to do so
via other applications. Today, after setting up talkworks again following
a several month hiatus of using it, and several re-imagings of the drive, I
discovered, quite by accident, the place where talkworks keeps it's init
string. I put in &CID=1 at the end of it, and Voila! It displays caller
ID. What a blessing this will be for me: I'd felt a bit ripped off at
having wasted money on caller id for my phone line, then not using it. Big
thanks to you folks and especially Ben for all the help that made this
possible. I did save all those posts and was able to return to them to
garner the information I needed.
If anyone wants to setup talkworks pro, guess you oughtta come chat with
me, I seem to have everything you need! hehe, except maybe the voice modem
and drivers...
