does anyone know of any device driver that could check
to see if another device driver is in memory? and if
not then load a different driver?

for example:
DEVICEHIGH=CHKDRV.SYS "VIDE-CDD" CDROM.SYS

so basically "if vide-cdd isnt in memory, then load
CDROM.SYS" -> this is useful for bootdisks since some
cdrom drivers will both detect the same cd-rom and
both load (wasting mem) even if you give them the same
name and /D: parameter.
:(
thanks
