I have one of those -- an IBM AT, model 319, with BIOS from 11-15-85.
The 7V lithium battery (original) is still stuck in the machine with
a peculiar velcro holder, roughly the size of an old transistor radio
battery.  It seems a far cry from the small coin shaped batteries now
used for the CMOS.

Thanks for your suggestions for replacing these (I've been lurking and
had to reply).  I may or may not do so, however, since it's not that
much trouble to enter the time and date at boot up with those commands
written in autoexec.bat -- especially since this machine is not a
"mission critical" computer.  And I'm already used to doing it that
way, which is the normal way, with my PC XT.
