Will Intersvr and Interlnk work under Windows 98 and a DOS/Win3.11
machine? I tried, but wasn't successful.

Hello, Chad,

I have no problems with connection. But there seems to be a
difficulty with reading compressed hard disks.

I have only one PC with a big hard disk, where I installed a
FAT32 compression with Windows98.

When I try to run this big machine as server. I can not read the
HD from my smaller clients, even if they run the DOS 7.10 from
Windows98. Interlnk/interserver do not deny the existence of the
compressed disk, but consider its size to be only 286MB. In Norton
Commander the directory structure is garbage or totally empty.

Something similar I noticed when I wanted to access the C: drive
on a smaller machine running DR-DOS. There seems to be some kind of
compression, too. But I have not checked it out, yet.

Access to all other disk drives worked, as well as to the COM and LPT
ports of the other machine. I tested the latter with printers and
with a further interlink connection to a third PC. It ought to work
with an external modem, too.

Is there a way to access the CD ROM drive on the other computer in
an interlink connection?
