Hi Bas,
If it really IS damaged cable, try switching to UTP RJ-45 cable...It
is less expensive, stronger, needs NO terminater (only a hub), and
can transmit/receive speeds of 100MBPS!
I have utilized a 300MHz PC and a 386/33 in my LAN (UTP), and I can
now play MP3s on the 386! (sorta)
Try it... Hope this helps!
