I'm personally no more negative about computers in cars than cars without
computers. I just know the damned thing will break, and will do so at the
most awkward moment and in the most expensive way. True, that rental did try
to kill me, but it was electronics and not really a computer.

I'm fully aware of the fact that I'll be the first to hear my cruise control
say "I'm sorry, Bob. I can't do that." when I try to disengage it at high
speed. This has more to do with the acceptance of Murphy's Law than
computers!

On a (slightly) more serious note, I do have some reservations about all
those pretty GPS screens built into the dash boards of cars, especially
those driven by the older set. Some computer functions just don't BELONG in
a driver's view. Can't wait for the first advertising banners to show up.

I'm waiting for:

1. Open Source cars
2. Overclocking my Nissan
