Speaking of minimum requirements, I have successfully installed Internet
Explorer 4.01 SP2 on my Gateway (386/8MB). The software requires a minimum
of a 486 or pentium processor with 16MB of RAM... Has anybody else had
experience with "false" minimum system requirements???

Also, the UltraPlayer that I mentioned in an earlier post (MP3's on 386 with
8MB or RAM!) requires a Pentium 90MHz with 32MB of RAM! It ran on my 386
without a flaw! (Even the WAV files, which were in excess of 40MB played
FINALLY without cutting out--Only because I disconnected the network...

On a Maxtor 8.4GB hard drive:

"LBA support needed..."

It worked on my 386, even FAT32 worked...But not for win95. I had to use
FAT16 for my old version of Win95...But it worked--and my A+ manual says
that 386's don't have LBA! But the MAXBLAST disk that came with the drive
said to use their EZ-BIOS, and IT worked!

I now have an 8.4GB hard drive on my 386! Maybe the system requirements
should list the REAL minimums??? Anybody have any idea why they are
"confusing" people with old machines???

Nick
