Another solution (I couldn't live without) is to use aliases,
a feature of 4DOS. This way I didn't have to create batch files all
the time. I've had some tiny batch files, too, taking up cluster
space I didn't want to waste.
What could be a drawback is memory usage though I never noticed
much.

Your assembly language post is interesting. Maybe repost your
message in the various DOS newsgroups and see what others think.
Y'know, some of the big Unixes (Unices?) don't even support
symbolic links. Being so used to them in Linux I'd have a hard
time without them.
