Hello,
I seem to have a weird problem. here. I have a EISA bussed 486DX2-66
that I have just added memory to. I use to have 40megs in it, 6 4-megs
simms, and 2 8-meg simms. These are 72pin, btw. I now have 4 16-meg
simms, and 4 4-meg simms installed. The computer counts up all 80 megs,
for the intial memory test, just fine. I ran the CFG disk, so I could
get rid of the errors that initally came up. The CFG program sees all
80 megs just fine, and I don't get any errors.
However PCDOS7rev1 will only use 16 megs!!! I can't access certain
video modes either. Win3.11 comes up funny, and arachne won't work
unless I reset it to use VGA, instead of VESA!!
Does anyone know whats going on? I would really like to use all eighty
megs.
