Hello:

I have downloaded M$ Word, version 5.5 for DOS from somewhere.
In the setup process I was unable to set up a printer because
the setup program can't find the printer drivers.

In the zipped archive that I downloaded there are many files having
the names of printers and having file extensions of "PR$".

I am guessing that these PR$ files somehow contain the printer drivers,
but possibly they are compressed by using some proprietary Micro$oft
utility. Good guess? If my guess is right, then how can I extract the
printer drivers?

Please help.

Sam Heywood
P.S. I am aware that the printer driver files need to have the
extension "PRD". Simply renaming the PR$ files so that they would
have PRD extensions doesn't work. Tried that.
