Hello Dan: -------------- -------------- I just read and enjoyed your personal story (your computer background, history and experiences) on your web site, DAN'S ABANDONWARE--Shareware & Freeware Abandonware http://www.safelink.net/danrose/aw.html . I also started out on Fortran on a mainframe, but only at the university. BUT I stopped computers for a long time, until in the late 1970's and 1980's I started back into it. At which time I learned 6502 assembler, digital circuit design and troubleshooting, then later Forth, C, Pascal languages. Today I prefer to run mostly in DOS. The exciting thing for me is that I recently discovered PDC Prolog language (formerly Borland Turbo Prolog) for DOS, http://www.pdc.dk . This is my main language today (along with C) for my own software engineering projects and/or applications. And I recently discovered what is for me a fantastic browser, "Arachne" http://arachne.cz ! It runs on DOS and Linux. --------------- --------------- NOW FOR THE REASON I LOOKED AT/FOUND YOUR WEB SITE: I just did a web search (just about 1 hour ago) at http://www.google.com for "EZX Publishing". Your site was listed on the 1st or 2nd search result page returned. I was searching for "EZX Publishing" because I wanted to purchase a registered copy of their EZX-Word. You see, for the last 5 months I have been downloading many softwares (mostly from SIMTEL) inorder to make my new setup on my 'new' 486DX4-75MHz Toshiba notebook computer. I have decided to purchase EZX-Word, AS-EASY-AS spreadsheet (Trius, V 5.7 1996), EZX Spread, Arachne WWW Browser, and Boxer Editor. So I was searching to see if EZX and Trius had web-sites. AND I enjoyed seeing that you had the Trius and EZX products featured in your pages. I enjoyed very MUCH seeing the histories of the old DOS programs!!! That's all for now. Bye. -------------- -------------- PS1: So far I've only looked at your DOS wordprocessor, spreadsheet and languages pages (histories). But I am excited to soon study the others too!! PS2: "I'VE GONE BACK TO THE FUTURE!" In the early 1990's I rediscovered WordStar 3.3 (c)1983! And even today I use it for much of my work! I love it. PS3: However, EZX-Word will soon do much of it. In fact, right now, I'm writing this email draft with EZX-Word V3.0 (c) 1993, called by one of ten user configurable hotkey in Arachne WWW Browser. - Eric Yaeger // [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- This mail written by user of Arachne, the Versatile Internet Browser -- Arachne V1.67, NON-COMMERCIAL copy, http://arachne.cz/ To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
