Floppies aren't going away yet, nobody will be putting a 50kb document on a
600mb cd yet. Similarily, zip drives are still far too expensive.
the alternatives are all too expensive yet, but floppies are SO cheap that
it's probably not cost effective to do quality control, nor necessary as
most people don't notice or care, they just think of them as disposable
like sheets of paper.
Try selecting a quality brand name like sony or memorex, I believe one of
these even offers a guarantee, and if the floppy does come up bad, send it
back with an explanation and you may find they send you replacements and such.
Buying cheap brands results in having low quality goods.
