That sounds very similar to Wizardry, a game I first started playing on my
Apple II+ back in 1982 or so. I suspect PoR was later since Wiz fit on one
diskette and was pretty hot stuff in it's day.
If it's been orphaned, there seem to be a lot of websites dedicated to the
preservation of such treasures. Good luck finding it!
