Well, northpoint wasn't my direct problem, but covad pulled a similar
stunt (only they did it on purpose, not because of going out of business)
which is what caused my problems.  I'm currently working with a local
communications company to obtain access again, if dsl can't be installed
then I will have to go with some sort of fractional T1 setup, though they
are a bit expensive, and fractional really isn't worth the cost.  The
pricing is such that a 384K connection is only 1/4 or so the price of a
full T1 line.  I really don't have the cash to throw at a full T1, but
seeing how things are priced, perhaps I'll begin offering colocation
services, and that will bring my costs down to something I can handle.
*sigh*
Anyway, softcon is still here, although it's only chugging along, and not
flying like it was.  We'll get it fixed though, and when we do, things
should be better than they were before we started.
