MS-DOS 5 offered EMS and Hidos
DR-DOS 5 offered better himem management, the placement of both the
kernel and TSRs in upper memory, and more functional batch and
command line tools.
DR-DOS 6 supported POSTSCRIPT, more batch file options, DOSBOOK
and improvements on the disk cache and virtual desktop task
switching.
6 or 7, (I have 7.03) can handle hardrives up to 8.3gig without
partitioning. How you fill even 1 gig with dos software escapes me.
http://www.datalight.com has ROM-DOS, made for embedded apps,
with a dos 5 class kernel of 27k
