Attention all, A new virus/worm "W32.Nimda.A@mm" is loose on the net, attacking Outlook and Outlook Express clients, as well as WinNT-based IIS servers. We haven't been able to get at our primary e-mail accounts today and, on calling the tech support I was told that the worm has severly impacted several sub-nets. Our provider uses primarily BSD and Linux servers, but in order to support FronPage extensions, they have some IIS servers which, unfortunately, are sick. Worse, there are servers that don't belong to them, but with which they are intimately connected, which have also become infected, knocking out whole network segments. Avoid opening anything with a "readme.exe" attachment, and all the usual "don't open unexpected attachments" warnings apply.
