Hi, folks --

Hopefully this note finds you all coming back to normal after
our nation's (USA) terrible disaster...

A few weeks ago I was fortunate to receive an IBM PC/XT from
my older brother (who had it for light work, given to him these
past few years from a former employer), which he no longer needed.

This is an exceptionally well preserved machine (unlike one I had
last year that I could not get to work properly), which I've briefly
described in my signature at the bottom.

Although I've found nothing wrong with this system and now have it
set up for Internet duties in my PC collection, I would like to
download and prepare a reference disk for it (as I managed to do
for my PC/AT) -- but I can't seem to find what I want in IBM's
vast resources, FTP sites, etc.. The IBM Canadian site *seems* to
have such a program to make this disk, but it apparently is
inaccessible to me (with a modern system, not this XT).

Do any of you know of an alternative site from where I could
download and make a reference disk for this XT? This disk is
also referred to as an "Advanced Diagnostics" disk.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!
