okay Listers,

I now know the OEM of my mobo; BIOSTAR!!

now if only I could find the model number (: ...

I went to the kingston site but they, under Biostar, only list a few
"selected" systems, none of which contain an old 386 40mhz CPU and ISA bus
(:

crucial's site (www.crucial.com) seems to contain more models but I am
just as much in the dark regarding which one is mine... I think that as
with kingston, only the latest models are listed

so does *anyone* have an idea on how to identify which very old Biostar
model I have? and where memory upgrades can be obtained?

I'm going to call crucial tommorrow to see if they have more complete
documentation on their computer system and if they can identify what
memory type is appropriate for my biostar board and where I can get it if
not from them, given just the CPU:(386), speed:(40mhz) and bus:(ISA) as
identifying information

please wish me luck!

Andy
