If netscape did in linux as they did in windows, before you install another distro run locate and look for bookmark.htm or bookmark.html. It'll be a single file. Note its location and back it off to a floppy with directory path intact. Then install your new distro, and when finished, restore that file from the floppy into where netscape put the new bookmark file overwriting it and you're back in business real fast. Beats the crap out of c:\windows\favorites structure where there's a file for each bookmark that's been saved and most of the content in most of those small files is duplicative and superfluous.
