Hello Chad,
Thanks much I'll give it a try. Your right I've never used M$dos much
always DrDOS and I guess the terms are not the same. I'll try the doskey
command in the autoexec.
I still subscribe to this list, the other dos one, Nettamer and a few
interest specific ones including some linux but haven't had the time to
explore that os much. When I do I think I will start with the Zipspeak
version that can be operated from a dos partition.
What I need the doskey command for is that I aquired a Zenith 386 laptop
that has only msdos-5 on it and I need to get it to a point to where I can
dump the msdos for Drdos or maybe Pcdos. Then maybe w311 for no specific
reason.
That computer is the heaviest laptop ever made I think but I use it as a
desktop. It fits well into my collection of XT, 386, 486 and low end 586
all on the net and at least sending e-mail plus browsing some. The browsing
on the XT is limited to either Nettamer, links or a bobcat so that there is
a little weakness but it's only on the sites that require something more
current and frames or java enabled.
Anyways thanks for asking take care and I'll try this tomorrow in the
laptop.
