Hi Heimo,

About "LSPPP versione 1.764" of March 27:

MS> About "`LSPPP v1.74' and `LSICQ v1.85'" of January 6, "Modem
MS> Connections Problems -- One Solution" of February 14, "16-Bit OS,
MS> GIFs, eList" of February 18, "Connection Problems" of February 28,
MS> "LSPPP v0.76x" of March 1 and "What does this mean/" of March 26...
HC> ...it's "0" (or 0.764 precisely)...

Oups! My mind must have been focused elsewhere but i'm confident a
vast majority of the readers here knew what i meant and the introduction
is there to help. I D/Ld it from http://www.inti.be/hammer/lsppp764.zip
finally and it displayed "Packet Driver Ver 0.764 Copyright (c) LADSoft"
just like i expected after i saw your posting. Thanks for the tip! ;^>

HC> ...it's still a "preliminary" version.

I still haven't tried it on my LEGACY HardWare but it is now on top
of my dialing directory, that's the 1st thing `{Commo}' will connect to.
So far, i've observed no problem with it; yet, it's no post '386 PC i'm
using right now so i guess there's room left for a few surprises... ;->

HC> If The author hasn't set it up at his site he may have reasons...

The author was supposed to read this but he prefered to remain low-
profile so if that's how he feels about users there's nothing i can add.

HC> I use that version to my best satisfaction for 1.5 month now...

Can i ask what's your HardWare setup? Especially the processor and
conventional memory available? The 8088/8250 test can be selective! :>

                            Salutations,
