(Sorry to react late, had been away.) The version 0.764 I have at my www place is a test version and _I_ have it running since February without any glitch; but this doesn't say anything more:
Author David Lindauer may have own reasons to consider it not yet ready for "release", there might be other circumstances where there are still problems ith ASPs/ISPs. After all, I had used the earlier "released" 0.7 (datestamp 5 Jan 01) for a good year too without any problem, though there had been such, evidently, for others. Which is why there has been another version and testing round. Just a bit patience, pehaps. Or why not contribute a little and voluntarily to the testing experince ? Michel Samson a/s Bicephale asked: > Can i ask what's your HardWare setup? Especially the processor and > conventional memory available? The 8088/8250 test can be selective! :> It runs on several machines, from a '286 tthough a '486 to a Pentium-II (and a P-II Toshiba Laptop). All have (a) a "real", external modem and, more important, quite good ISA comm-cards (with 16550s). // Heimo Claasen // <hammer at revobild dot net> // Brussels 2002-04-12 The WebPlace of ReRead - and much to read ==> http://www.revobild.net To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
