Hi Dan,
Hi Heimo,
Hi Jude,

     This is an addendum about "`NetMail for DOS v2.12' gets clogged on
E-Mail" and "`{Commo} v7.7'" of April 24 and "SURVPC Digest - 23 Apr
2002 to 24 Apr 2002 (#2002-106):" of April 25:

HC> ...I use a "manual" net working tool for this, a script with Martin
HC> Goebbel's "Netbasic interpreter"... NETBAS (v0.4) can be found at
HC> my www place, together with a script to use with POP3 servers...
MS> Ho, then there's probably a few things i may be able to learn here!

     Oups, maybe later! I was led to something like www.inti.be/hammer/
and i get a 404 error... I'll wait for a while, let me know when ready!

                                  P->

JD> ftp.ordata.com was the ftp site I knew of earlier...

     Oups! Maybe not anymore: leads nowhere and sits there forever!...

                                  ;->

DD> Commo 7.7 and many other related files can be found on the commo-
DD> list page at yahoogroups in the download part.

     Oups, this is accurate but finding our way involves some work here!

                                  P->

     The ~URL~ is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/COMMO-list/files/, to be
more exact. Anybody who needs to go there must also be aware that their
browser has to accept cookies or the files won't come up. I believe the
`COMMO-Terminal' directory is were the program can be found but `{Commo}
v7.7' enjoys widespread distribution still to this day, it would seem!!!

DD> While traffic is slow, it is still an active mailing list and help
DD> with commo is readily offered.

     The last event was from a coocoo bird who had called himself Meshal
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and who gave his message quite a descriptive tittle:
"Hi .. a question plz answer me as possible:)" (March 2)... The quality
of the topics went down the drain that day; he was trying to Ping every
single system in the U.S., Africa or the World *AT THE SAME TIME*. Wow!
I wonder what sort of booze those kids absorb these days. Pathetic! :(

     It's been a long time since i heard of the `{commo}' mail-list, the
last valid post was from David Crife, on February 7 (about "display ansi
file"). He had tried to attach a version of `MoreHost' but that archive
never made it since "Non-text portions" of his post were removed, thanks
to Yahoo! %-7 I briefly searched the Net using AllTheWeb (~FTP~) and i
found a number of interresting sites with `{commo}'-specific file names:

          ftp://ftp.arnes.si/software/simtelnet/msdos/commprog/
          ftp://ftp.eunet.bg/pub/simtelnet/msdos/commprog/
          http://www.univie.ac.at/simtel.net/msdos/commprog.html

     I didn't know that you were reading or i hadn't made the connection
but, in any case, it's good to learn that the `{commo}' mail-list hasn't
vanished yet. How knows, the trafic might increase - i do what is in my
power, as a humble fan, to spread the word around... Have a nice day!!!

                                             Salutations,  :)

                                             Michel Samson
                                             www3.sympatico.ca/bicephale
                                             a/s Bicephale

... And then there were none, a footnote in the history of the InterNet!
