Using loadlin.exe is much easier than using LILO.
BasicLinux still uses loadlin.exe by default and there
are no plans to change that. However, loadlin.exe needs
DOS to boot, and some people don't want to have a DOS
partition on their system. So I am providing the LILO
option.

LILO advantages
---------------
booting Linux is faster
no DOS partition is required
can be used to boot other OS

loadlin.exe advantages
----------------------
simpler
mistakes are easier to fix

BasicLinux tries to make things simpler for the newbie,
so loadlin.exe is the obvious default. However, for
users who wish to go beyond this, the LILO option is
now available.

Cheers,
Steven
