Thanks for the link... I've known about these folks for a while, but am
currently not looking for notebook hard drives, myself.

My problem is batteries - I've got two notebook computers for which I'm
saving up for replacement battery packs.  They work fine off the wall
outlet, but the batteries last for ten minutes or so, then the
batteries fail - old Ni-Cd batteries, which were abused before I got
ownership of the (used) notebooks.
