Hi all, my sound card probably is loaded... my speakers became unplugged :)
I guess I could rem out the DPMS entry notice that HIMEM.SYS is/was rem'ed out in the original files and then was only used in conjunction with Windows(when I had Windows3.11 on this machine(I deltree'd it when I was so sick of dealing with the corrupt copy))(I have the install diskettes yet did not buy them so am waiting for 3.11 to go public domain)(in the mean time(after deleting windows, my HD has gotten full of DOS apps and arachne e-mail(I had to delete some today to get my working copy of arachne(1.66) to send my previous messages)and if Glenn I do have you send me those iomega files I will have to delete much more e-mail or stuff in order to successfully download them... at least for me and DRDOS, arachne 1.66 will conflict with COMMAND.COM and lock up/crash when I try to run it or download with it when my available free space on my HD drops below 1.9MB(my drive has a total of 340MB)... this is the reason why I am so interested in seeing if I can run arachne 1.71 from my zip drive(I've already downloaded it from Glenn's page) actually Glenn if you could post those iomega files to a web page it might be easier for me to download them as I downloaded arachne 1.71 using netscape rather than trying a download using arachne 1.66(I've never downloaded a large binary using arachne) I'm about to give up thinking that I can install and run arachne1.71 on and from a zip disk and maybe just delete mail and stuff on my HD to be able to stick with arachne1.66(which is already installed) (: it's kind of a shame since I did download 1.71 maybe Glenn you could take a look at both sets of my system files and direct me a little more closely andy To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
