Just to clarify a point here about Arachne...
Arachne DOES NOT NEED DPMI! It is not a
Protected mode executable. BUT, if you install
the "32 bit protected mode" JPEG conversion
APM, this is when you need CWSDPMI. For those,
like myself, who run short on HD space at times,
you can use the "backward" compatible "16 bit"
APM to install the plain 16 bit DJPEG instead
of using DJPEG32 to convert JPGs to BMP for
Arachne to display. Arachne will merrily run
along without any DPMI whatsoever.
