Dear List:

In reply to ARD-1925 I found that the Word2x prog stubbornly
refused to install, or maybe some Linux guru is needed to find
out how to make it work right without using another "X" prog
"chkfontpath". I decided against it. As merely a simple Unix
viewer of plain text from Word 9.x files Antiword succeeds whatever
Word2x does or doesn't. Compiling from source just seemed too
difficult to me a former Dos user. Simple "make" just doesn't
seem to work well for me. Ghostscript and a Postscript printer
would be needed to find out what ANTIWORD would do besides text.
Thanks for the links group on finding the libc files, but apparently
I already had them {Redhat 6.0}.

Yours,

Thomas
