Thanks, I had planned to only load those programs I needed, after checking
for links.

Is this included in BasicLinux? If not can you download only the contents
directory? It seems it would really help a lot to have it on my BasicLinux
machine.

Sorry to ask such a simple question, but I'm new to BasicLinux and to
Slackware and am still learning the ropes. I am also at work now so I
don't have access to my BasicLinux computer, I'll check when I get home
this evening.

On another issue, I read that BasicLinux has smbfs support compiled in, is
the full samba package necessary to mount a remote Windows file system on
BasicLinux, or is the included BasicLinux networking sufficient?

I have been at Unix for a while including, Xenix, SCO Unix, Openserver,
SunOS, Solaris, and SuSE so I think I can work through the learning curve
pretty quickly. I appreciate your patience and assistance.
