This is in response to some recent discussion onlist about survpc definitions and machines with 128MB RAM being "retired." On a used computer site I monitor, I've recently seen a P2 400 (slot1) with 128MB RAM, 4.3GB HD, integrated NIC, going for $89 (USD). It's a Dell. This price doesn't include shipping. The computer comes with no monitor or OS, but does have mouse and keyboard. So, while I haven't seen machines with 128MB RAM being thrown out or given away, they can certainly be had cheaply here at this time (the dot-com bust likely has something to do with this equipment being unloaded so cheaply).
