Ted comes only as a .tar.gz download of about 2.5MB. A separate install
script, of neglible size (5KB?), should be used for installing the app.
I've actually begun using Ted for real-life applications, and quite
effectively. I've created several small documents with some advanced
formatting (tables, headers, footnotes, font changes) and emailed those
.rtf files to my wife at work, where she opens them with Word and prints
for me (too cheap to buy and set up a printer at home:) ). Were I able to
get it to use the ancient language fonts I need to use in my research, I
would consider using it more extensively - perhaps exclusively. It
continues to meet and sometimes exceed my expectations.

Just downloaded BL2 beta and am anxious to give the install2HD routine a
try.
