Howard,
To bring you up to date so to speak with Yahoo Mail.  If you
still use only the FREE version of Yahoo Mail, you CANNOT use
any other email client to send or receive Yahoo Mail, other than
the web-based interface.  Yahoo now tries to "sell" you the
ability to send/recieve email via standalone email client as
an extra add-on to the base free service.  I think it runs about
$12 US per year.  Doesn't matter if you try with Windows software
such as Outlook, or DOS software, such as Arachne, or Linux with
NetScape...Yahoo will not allow free email accounts to access
their Yahoo Mail outside of the web interface.
