Karen, I've Cc:'d Brandon on this as well...

I know CSS has a bad reputation 'round these parts as being "non-Surv PC
friendly", but after having spent some time learning the details ... and
REASONS... for CSS, I think it might be worth a look.

This example is a case where CSS can make PERFECT sense. To simplify it
a bit: Brandon could define a few styles for various parts of his site,
then have changes ripple through the ENTIRE site (every page) by editing
a single CSS file. CSS also allows for alternative presentation (i.e.
printed versus on-screen). So for example, if Brandon decides that the
red text on green background isn't what he really wants, only a single
edit would be required.

Now, CSS CAN be annoying to work with, but I've developed a simplified
approach that I'm using that seems to provide good backwards
compatability, AND looks OK on Netscape 4.x, AND looks quite presentable
on new browsers. I believe Ben has done similar work. I'd be happy to
share my experiences.

(Anyone's welcome to give the sites a spin at http://www.ttlexceeded.com
with various browsers.)
