Thank you all for your advise on how to fix my machine.  It works now.  I
hit the "Esc" and got into the set up page.  No hard drive was listed so I
kept choosing different settings and restarting.  Lucky for me the third
choice worked.  My computer has restarted without an issue since.  I wish I
could answer the questions about what kind of hard drive or BIOS is in my
computer, but I haven't figured out those things yet.  I was just getting
good at typing at the C promt and then the computer lost its settings.  I
went straight from a commadore 64 to Windows 95 so MS-DOS is a whole new
challenge for me.  I am keeping all of your suggestions so that in the
future I can fix issues on my own.  Thanks again!
