Hi all, I have a bare bones computer system, and some assorted parts I would love to pass on to someone for free. Not interested in selling it, just hate to see anything go to waste, and while I would love to make it a linux machine,
am more inclined to have a new one built for me. That reminds me, anyone in the computer building business, with strong linux experience write me off list. anyway, this is a 486 dx 120 with 32 mg of ram, i can tell you that the bios will not read a drive larger than2g, but i have a western digital 1.2 g, <i think> hard drive that can be used. there is a working high density floppy 3.25, and a 5.25 high densenty that may or may not be working. I ha ve several us robotics modems that will fit it, oh and did i say it has a quality sony cd rom drive installed? no sound card, although there may be a spare one in the box, spare keyboards and i think a mouse in there, good quality video card and power supply. the case is nice too, a desktop style that looks like a house. I do not mind covering the shipping just to see it go somewhere other than the trash. if someone wants to trade something, feeling guilty, that's okay too. This is definitely a survpc machine. i suppose that a third alternative, is if indeed anyone on list is linux skilled and thinks this a good start on which to build, i will pay them to work with me to make it a quality linux box set to my goals in linux. any takers for any of the above options, send me a note off list. thanks all around, Karen Lewellen Net-Tamer V 1.12.0 - Test Drive To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
