The original IBM "PC" had an 8088 CPU, and floppy drives. The "XT" had
the same processor, but included a hard drive. ( 5 or 10MB, don't
recall which right now). The "PC/AT" had 80286 CPU also had a hard
disk drive, and a faster clock speed.
August, 1981 was the introductory date of the "PC", with the XT being
introduced 18 months later.
