Thanks to one of our members, listserv is operational again. For those of
you who were wondering.
Softcon suffered a rather catestrophic power failure (the powersupply blew
up) in the machine a couple weeks ago. Everything was transferred and/or
copied to a new drive, and installed in a new machine, but in the process,
the local library directore wasn't copied. As a result, many of the
programs in the /usr/local hiearchy weren't/aren't working.
Unfortunately, I'd also forgotten to copy the root directory (/root I
mean) from the other drive where the listserv binaries were stored for use
in just such an occurrence.
<sigh>
In any case, it was pointed out that while 1.8C wasn't available, 1.8D
was. I didn't think it'd use my current license file, but I tried
installing 1.8E anyway, and surprisingly enough, it took the old license
file.
So, we're back in business, so have at it. (the archives should be
working again as well.)
Enjoy.
